David Keil, vice president of business development at Ecolab, will speak at the Association for Strategic Planning 2011 Spring Breakfast Series on Tuesday, Feb. 22. His topic is “Strategy for an Evolving Global Marketplace.”
Keil will describe the strategy process and show a case study of how Ecolab is using it in the emerging water space. This case study will show how it is leveraging its competencies in an emerging space, and evolving a regional business into a global one.
In his current role as vice president of business development, Keil is responsible for strategy development, as well as mergers and acquisitions activity for the Institutional North American Sector. Institutional is Ecolab’s largest business unit, serving the food service and hospitality markets.
Keil’s previous Ecolab roles included vice president and segment manager for health care North America and vice president of corporate development. Prior to joining Ecolab in that role in 2004, Keil was employed at General Mills as president of the Häagen-Dazs Shoppe Company Inc. and director of corporate development. He also has worked for Pillsbury and Frito-Lay Inc. in a variety of operations, sales and finance roles.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m. followed by breakfast and networking. The presentation and discussion will be held from 7:45 to 9 a.m. in Room 202, Opus Hall, Minneapolis campus.
