Graduate Programs in Software has created a new graduate certificate in healthcare analytics, which is designed for professionals who need to handle the growing demands in analyzing digital health care information. This four-course certificate program will provide students with essential predicting, visualizing and evaluating strategies that can improve the quality and safety of health care.
“We have 27 students already enrolled in this program by offering an onsite cohort to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota,” said Dr. Bhabani Misra, associate dean of graduate programs in the School of Engineering. “We created this program based on the demand in our community. We are always ready to help solve the problems of organizations who need to train their talent in a specific skill set.”
People interested in this certificate who have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline can apply now to start in February 2016. Courses are offered either on weeknights or Saturdays.
An information session will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, in Owens Science Hall, Room 150. The session will cover an overview of Graduate Programs in Software, the application process and a Q&A period. Registration for the information sessions is preferred, but walk-ins are always welcome.
