Great Books Reading Group to discuss Marriage, A History
St. Thomas' Great Books Reading Group will discuss Marriage, A History, by Stephanie Coontz, on Wednesday, July 18.
Coontz is a nationally known expert on the history of marriage. She delivered the 14th annual Luann Dummer Lecture last March. The lecture was sponsored by the Luann Dummer Center for Women.
The group will discuss Marriage, A History from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 388, Owens Science Hall. Refreshments will be served.
The Great Books Reading Group’s tentative schedule for the next two months:
- Aug. 1: The King’s Game, by John Nemo
- Sept. 19: The Handmaid’s Tale, by Margaret Atwood
The books are available in the St. Thomas Bookstore. Look for the Great Books poster near the customer service desk. Everyone is welcome to join the Great Books Reading Group.
