A first at St. Thomas, the UST Hmong United Student Association (HUSA) will host a Hmong New Year celebration from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (doors open at 10:30 a.m.) Saturday, Dec. 3, in Brady Educational Center auditorium.
Performing will be activist and comedian Tou Ger Xiong (MinnPost.com says he was quoted as “one of the most influential Hmong in America today”), singer-songwriter and acoustic musician Pong Vang, and Cody Lee – along with many talented UST students.
The event is free and open to the public. Authentic Hmong food will be served.
