Hult Prize Team Registration Now Open

Hult Prize at St. Thomas team registration is now open. Students interested in participating can learn more and register online. The deadline is Nov. 2.

The theme of the 2017 Hult Prize President's Challenge is "Refugees: Reawakening Human Potential." It will focus on restoring the rights and dignity of people forced into motion due to social injustices, politics, economic pressures, climate change and war.

To be considered, review the challenge, form a team of three to four students and pitch an idea (a five-minute presentation and three-minute Q&A session). Team applications are due Nov. 2, and the St. Thomas competition will take place in McNeely Hall on Dec. 7 at 3 p.m.

The top three teams at the St. Thomas competition are eligible for $18,000 in scholarship prizes.

St. Thomas will send one team to the regional competition in San Francisco, all expenses covered. The Hult Prize at St. Thomas is open to all students (undergraduate and graduate) regardless of major/minor or area of focus.

St. Thomas will provide additional Hult Prize help sessions, which are led by MBA students and community leaders on:

  • Nov. 2, Al and Brenda Iversen Hearth Room, 4:30-6 p.m.
  • Nov. 9, Al and Brenda Iversen Hearth Room, 4:30-6 p.m.
