It's 'Working for Change' Week

The Center for Community Partnerships is sponsoring two events as part of “Working for Change: Exploring Alternative Career Paths.”

The first event, “Alternative Routes: Stories From Full-Time Volunteers,” will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Room 155, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. This panel discussion with UST  alumni will highlight their experiences doing full-time volunteer work in educational and social-service settings with organizations like the Peace Corps, Lutheran Volunteer Corps and the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE).  Dinner will be provided.

The second event is a volunteer fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in Campus Square. This event will feature organizations that offer full-time post-graduate volunteer opportunities. Representatives from organizations like the Peace Corps, Lutheran Volunteer Corps and the Alliance for Catholic Education will be available to give details of their programs’ national and international sites and opportunities.
