The university community is invited to join Tommie the mascot at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, May 12, by the softball field on the south campus to send off the No. 24-ranked Tommie softball team as it travels to the eight-team NCAA regional tournament in Indianola, Iowa.
Students who send off the team will receive a free Tommie beach towel.
The Tommies open play at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 13, against Simpson College. Coach John Tschida's Tommies are on a 17-game win streak.
