Latino scholar Carlos Munoz cancels talk today because of illness
A talk that had been scheduled for this afternoon by noted Latino scholar Dr. Carlos Munoz Jr. has been canceled because of illness.
Efforts are underway to reschedule the talk for early May.
Munoz came down with a severe cold and sore throat virus; his doctors advised him against air travel because he was contagious.
Munoz, a professor emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley, had planned to discuss “Diversity and the Struggle for Social Justice” in a talk from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today, April 19, in the auditorium of O’Shaughnessy Educational Center.
