School of Law hosts Fall Prayer Series

The University of St. Thomas School of Law will host a five-part series this fall designed to introduce or deepen your experience of different types of prayer. 

Each session of the Fall Prayer Series, which will be facilitated by Professor Susan Stabile (except for Sept. 22, which will be led by Associate Professor Jennifer Wright), will include a talk, time for individual reflection or a guided meditation, and some sharing of the prayer experience. 

Participants also will receive materials to encourage individual prayer at home following each session. Attend any or all of the sessions. Each session runs from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. the Tuesdays listed below and includes lunch. The dates and topics of the series are:

  • Sept. 8 – Praying with Scripture
  • Sept. 15 – Praying with Poetry and Art
  • Sept. 22 – Centering Prayer (led by Jennifer Wright)
  • Sept. 29  – “Analytical” Meditations
  • Oct. 6 – BioSpiritual Focusing Prayer
