Leaders of Today and Tomorrow conference scholarships available

Leaders of Today and Tomorrow (LOTT) is a program of the League of Women Voters Education Fund. The 2006 LOTT conference, “Women Making a Difference in Public Policy,” is an event where participants will meet Minnesota women leaders from the state legislature, courts, media and interest groups.

Participants will attend skill-building workshops and a mentorship lunch with women involved in public policy. The conference is designed to encourage undergraduate college and university women to participate in politics and public policy. Seminar dates are Jan. 12-14, 2006. Seminar locations include the Minnesota State Capitol complex and the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Plymouth.

Here’s what two 2005 LOTT participants said about the conference:

“Attending the LOTT Conference was one of the greatest events that I have ever been a part of. The conference was not only informative, but very moving as well. All of the women that I met had a story to tell and each story has made me not only a stronger woman, but also a better person in general. The LOTT Conference has helped me to grow and to question the current treatment of women in America and all over the world. I am determined to educate all women about our rights and what we are entitled to.” – Erin Mulvany

“I enjoyed learning about women in state and national politics and government, and it was really interesting to meet the other students. There were really great mentor and leader networking opportunities.”
– Rebecca Lucast
