Loftus Mini-Grants, established in 2006 by Bob and Mary Jo Loftus, again are available to University of St. Thomas students, staff and faculty.
The grants support programs and projects at the university focusing on either health care or diversity issues.
Earlier Loftus Mini-Grants have supported research on first-generation students, helped English-as-a-second-language students with their medical needs, and provided health care for women in prison. Grants can be used for support of student summer research projects, faculty sabbatical work and staff engagement initiatives for students, as well as other research efforts.
Grant awards range from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $2,500.
Further information and application forms can be found on the Office of Institutional Diversity Web site. More information about the grants also is available from Tom Glass, at (651) 962-6945 or glass5716@stthomas.edu.
