Did you know that from Sept. 7 of last year through April 12 of this year, tuition dollars are covering the cost of your St. Thomas education? After April 12, however, other sources of revenue, such as contributions from alumni and friends of St. Thomas, pay the bills.
The Student Legacy Committee will host “It Takes More Than Tuition Day” on Tuesday, April 12, to provide information about the tuition gap and what students can do to help. Look for the Student Legacy table outside The Grill, and stop by anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Free mugs full of lemonade will be given away, and watch for informational signs throughout campus that day, sponsored by the Student Legacy Committee.
Tuesday evening, the Student Legacy Speaker Series will host Mike Wassenaar, executive director of the St. Paul Neighborhood Network (SPNN), who will talk about his experiences working at the nonprofit organization.
The program will begin at 8 p.m. in Room 154, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. All are welcome.
