MPR to Broadcast Program on Marv Davidov at Noon Friday

Minnesota Public Radio will broadcast an interview with the late Marv Davidov on "MPR News Presents" at noon Friday, March 9. An adjunct member of the University of St. Thomas Justice and Peace Studies Department since 1992, Davidov died at age 81 on Jan. 14.

The 30-minute program will be followed by an MPR interview with historian Rhoda Gilman about her new book, Stand Up! The Story of Minnesota’s Protest Tradition. The two programs can be heard on MPR’s news and information station, KNOW, at 91.1 FM.

A “Celebration of the Life of Marv Davidov: Nonviolent Revolutionary” will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 10, in the Woulfe Alumni Hall in the Anderson Student Center on the university’s St. Paul campus.

The afternoon will begin with an informal gathering at 1 p.m. A program will run from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by refreshments. All are welcome.
