Students and faculty interested in starting a Native American-focused organization are invited to meet from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, in the O'Shaughnessy ("Leather") Room (behind Coffee Bené) in the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Llibrary Center. This is the group's second meeting focused on planning.
This organization will focus on helping Native American students in grade school and middle school with tutoring and planning for college. While those of Native American background are strongly encouraged to attend, non-Native American students and faculty are welcome, too. All involved will have the opportunity to help and also to learn about the Dakota and Anishinaabe people who originally lived here and still do.
