Neighbors thank Community Cleanup volunteers
University of St. Thomas community members were able to rake the leaves of about 30 neighborhood homes during the Fall Community Cleanup Nov. 20. The Student Alumni Council and the Alumni Association are thankful to all of the students, alumni and staff members who participated.
Bob Gremer 0f Selby Avenue said he had “a record of over 22 bags” of leaves that some “wonderful” female students cleared from his yard. “You have a wonderful program going for you and, most of all, for us seniors in St. Paul. We can all be proud of St. Thomas,” Gremer said.
Nancy Janssen, 1852 Stanford Ave., said that students did “a fabulous job of raking. My yard has never been so clean. They even raked behind the garage, which I don’t think has ever been done. I certainly appreciate your efforts.”
The next Community Cleanup will be held April 9.
