The nationwide release of The Survivor, the next novel in the late Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp series of political thrillers, will be on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights.
The event also will serve as a fundraiser for the academy, with proceeds going to Vincent J. Flynn Hall. The building is named after Flynn, a 1988 University of St. Thomas alumnus who received the university’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2006. He is a 1984 academy graduate.
Flynn died in 2013. Kyle Mills, a New York Times best-selling author, completed The Survivor, the book started by Flynn prior to his death, and has agreed to write two more novels featuring Rapp. Mills will participate in a panel discussion about The Survivor.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. in Flynn/Sjoberg Arena at the academy, with doors opening at 6 p.m. All attendees will receive an autographed copy of The Survivor. Ticket prices range from $50 to $1,000, and tickets can be reserved here.
Flynn self-published his first novel, Term Limits, which was picked up by a major publisher and landed him on the New York Times Bestsellers list. He went on to complete 13 additional novels centered on the character of Rapp, a CIA operative who foiled terrorists.
