St. Thomas Art History faculty will join their peers from the Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities for the Ninth Annual ACTC Art History Faculty Symposium. They will present their research for colleagues, students and guests at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, in the Marshall Room at the Christensen Center, Augsburg College, 2114 Riverside Ave. in Minneapolis.

Presentations will include:
- “Palazzo Balbi: An Emblem of the Venetian Republic's Patrician Class,” by Kristin Huffman Lanzoni, Macalester College.
- “Changing Aesthetics in Late Roman Wall Painting at Sardis,” Vanessa Rousseau, University of St. Thomas
- “Currency and Incarnations: Sixteenth-Century Portuguese Illuminated Coins and Notions of Kingship, Conquest and National Identity,” Susan Wight Swanson, Augsburg College.
- “When Contemporary Performance Artists Meet Ancient Jewish Prophets: the Avant-Garde and Sacred Discontent,” Wayna Rossa, Bethel University.
- “Figuring Recemption: Max Beckmann’s Resurrections,” Amy K. Hamlin, St. Catherine University
