Nominate students, staff and faculty who are 'Students of Color Allies'

University of St. Thomas students of color and students who have immigrant status: Nominate UST students, staff and faculty for recognition as "Students of Color Allies."

These are members of the UST community who have provided you with emotional support and encouragement. These individuals must have challenged you to be your best, offering sound advice and holding you to high standards.

All UST employees and enrolled graduate and undergraduate students are eligible for nomination. Who inspires you to remain focused on your goals?  Who do you see at events that acknowledge and celebrate students of color on campus?

Other students also can nominate members of the campus community who have helped you develop stronger intercultural communication skills and awareness.

Nominations must include the name, campus mail number and daytime phone number of the person making the nomination and include a one-page letter describing why the nominee(s) should be recognized as the 2006 Multicultural Student Services Ally of the Year.

Send your nomination(s) via e-mail to Multicultural Student Services or to the attention of Denise Dieffenbach at Mail #5006 by 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 7.

All nominees will be recognized at the annual Spirit of St. Thomas event on Tuesday, May 9, in O’Shaughnessy Education Center auditorium. Please note that some information from nomination letters may be read at the ceremony.
