The UST Global Citizenship Award was created by the International Matrix (International Education, Office of International Student Services and the ELS Language Center) to recognize the positive efforts made by individuals to promote international and intercultural awareness at St. Thomas.
Visit the Study Abroad Web page to download a nomination form. The deadline for nominations is Monday, April 2.
The Global Citizenship Award honors a member(s) of the St. Thomas community whose personal or professional work brings the concept of global citizenship to their department, classroom, residence hall or student club.
Candidates must be St. Thomas faculty (adjuncts included), staff or a student and must demonstrate global citizenship through:
- Consistent efforts to be respectful and inclusive of other cultures and viewpoints
- Contributions that improve the climate for other cultures and people at the University of St. Thomas
- Connections made between the UST community and the world
The award is open to all faculty, staff and students of the University of St. Thomas with the exception of International Matrix members, who are excluded from receiving the award.
The presentation of the award(s) will be made at the St. Thomas International Dinner on Saturday, April 28, in the Student Dining Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Ticket and event information for the dinner soon will be available on the Office of International Student Services Web site.
