University Photographer Showcases 'One Special Place' at Lake Superior Photography Exhibit

An original print, "Boat House," by University Relations photographer Mark Jensen is included in an invitational exhibition on view at the Waterfront Gallery in Two Harbors, Minn.

Titled “One Special Place,” the exhibit features photographs by 22 world-famous photographers who love Lake Superior. The photographers have chosen one image from their favorite special place around Lake Superior.

Featured in the exhibit are some of the most published and creative photographers from the region. In addition to Jensen, the show features the work of photographers Craig Blacklock, Steve Brimm, Tom Buchkoe, Val Doherty, Larry Dunlap, Linda Dunlap, Susan Dykstra, John Gregor, Layne Kennedy, Jude McConkey, Travis Melin, Bruce Montagne, Gary Alan Nelson, Heidi Mae Niska, Travis Novitsky, Dennis O’Hara, Brian Rauvola, Jeff Richter, Jay Steinke, Mark Sparky Stensaas and Shawn Thompson.

Minnesota Public Radio will feature the “One Special Place” exhibit on its Art Hounds segment today, Friday, Oct. 14. The show will air during the Morning Edition and All Things Considered shows.
