'Persuasion is Your Business' is next breakfast talk June 23

The Center for Business Excellence brings you Entre TODAY monthly programs featuring just-in-time information for the busy entrepreneur.

"Persuasion is Your Business" is the topic for June’s Entre TODAY program with featured speaker Nona Mason, director of the Master of Business Communication, College of Business, University of St. Thomas.

Successful entrepreneurial ventures are dependent on persuasive skill. This program will review some core principles of persuasion and how they can be used to become a more comfortable, efficient persuader. This program also will show how to create simple persuasive messages under time and pressure.

Entre TODAY will be held from 7:30-9 a.m. Friday, June 23, in Room 201, Opus Hall, Minneapolis campus.

Rates are:

  • $25 – UST student rate
  • $35 – UST alumni/faculty/staff Rate
  • $45 – Standard prepaid rate
  • $55 – Standard door rate

Mason has directed the Master of Business Communication program -- the first in the nation -- at the University of St. Thomas for more than 20 years. She teaches communication practice in business and technical disciplines at St. Thomas and other universities and also works as a communication counselor-consultant to business and nonprofit organizations. In addition, she teaches and co-directs the Aspen/Great Books program in the College of Business. She holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University.
