Dr. John Holst, School of Education, is author of "Paulo Freire in Chile, 1964-1969: Pedagogy of the Oppressed in its Sociopolitical Economic Context." The article appeared in the summer 2006 issue of the Harvard Educational Review. It is available online through the UST Libraries here.
Dr. Gene Scapanski, Office for Mission, received the Hall of Fame Significant Contributor Award from the National Association of Church Business Administration at its national conference recently in Chicago. Scapanski established a NACBA Certification Center at St. Thomas when he was dean of pastoral studies at the St. Paul Seminary School of divinity, and he directed the center for 16 years. During that time hundreds of church business administrators received education at the center, one of six NACBA certification centers in the country.
