Donna Nix, Marianne Hageman and Talia Nadir, UST Libraries, presented “Information Literacy: Turning the Page From High School to College,” Oct. 28, at the American Association of School Librarians conference in Minneapolis. Their session was based on surveys of parochial school librarians and St. Thomas faculty, in which they gathered data on the information literacy skills of high school seniors and also faculty perceptions of the information literacy skills of undergraduate students enrolled in their introductory research classes.
James Rogers, Center for Irish Studies, had a poem, “Rutabagas: A Love Poem,” read by Garrison Keillor on The Writer’s Almanac on Nov, 22. The poem, which appeared in Rogers’s chapbook Sundogs (Parallel Press, 2006), is archived here.
