Ten days ago Public Safety began attaching red warning tags on bikes parked at unauthorized locations, such as sign posts, railings, lights and trees.
The University of St. Thomas Public Safety department yesterday began cutting locks and removing bicycles that have been left at unauthorized locations throughout the university’s St. Paul campus.
The warnings explained that starting yesterday, bikes locked to objects other than campus bike racks would be removed at the bike owner’s expense. More than 100 of the red warning tags were placed recently on bicycles that were not parked at bike racks.
Tree, not good.
When a bicycle is removed from an unauthorized location, it is placed in storage for 90 days and then donated.
