Public Safety posts alert on attempted robbery near Macalester
The University of St. Thomas Department of Public Safety has issued an alert regarding an attempted robbery and assault that took place late Monday on Grand Avenue, several blocks east of Macalester College.
The alert said a female Macalester student was walking west on Grand when a male attempted to grab her purse. She was able to hold onto her purse and the suspect fled.
