Public Safety posts alerts on suspicious person in Selby Residence and two off-campus burglaries

The University of St. Thomas Department of Public Safety has issued two alerts regarding incidents that took place recently on and near the university’s St. Paul campus.

On Tuesday afternoon, an alert student contacted Public Safety about a suspicious female in the living area of her apartment in Selby Residence Hall. The suspicious female gave a false story to Public Safety officers and she was escorted off campus.

The second alert provides information on two off-campus burglaries that took place late Nov. 23 or early Nov. 24 at a Wilder Avenue duplex. St. Thomas students live in one unit of the duplex. To gain access, the burglar broke a window and then unlocked a deadbolt on the front door.

Details about these incidents can be found on the Public Safety Web site. Go here and click on the two alerts dated Nov. 27: “SRH Suspicious Person” and “Burglaries on Wilder.”
