The 2009 Entrepreneur Awards dinner will be held on Wednesday, May 13, in the Schulze Grand Atrium at the University of St. Thomas School of Law on the Minneapolis campus. Ray Barton, CEO and chairman of Great Clips Inc., will receive the John F. Cade Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The Cade Award was established in memory of a 1970 alumnus who died in 1986. At that time, Inc. magazine ranked his six-year-old Cade Industries 18th of the top 100-fastest-growing companies in the United States. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurial attributes, contributions to thecommunity, ethical standards and integrity. In addition, Bailey Nurseries will receive the Family Business of the Year Award and Ron Peltier ’73 M.A., will receive the Entrepreneurship Alumnus of the Year Award.
