A team of UST MBA students participated in the annual Business Ethics Fortnight, sponsored by Loyola Marymount University - the first time the UST MBA degree program has been represented in this national competition. Student teams are required to choose a contemporary issue in business ethics and present the legal, financial and ethical dimensions before a panel of judges. The team from St. Thomas came in second of all MBA teams competing with a presentation on Medtronic in China. Samad Arbi was the team leader. Other team members were Sarah Craig, Brett Furber, Erik Honkanen and Mai Vang. Professor Kenneth Goodpaster was the adviser, working with the students as they developed their case and accompanying them to the competition in Los Angeles. One judge commented, "As I listened to your presentation, I did not hear students, I heard executives."
