School of Law launches two blogs

The University of St. Thomas’ School of Law has launched two blogs, the Mentor Externship Blog and the Charity and Justice Blog, both of which will highlight notable work done in the field of law.

Dave Bateson, director of the UST Mentor program, will serve as lead contributor for the Mentor Externship Blog, which, Bateson hopes, "will contribute to and help facilitate the national conversation on mentoring in the legal profession by exploring what's going on in the Mentor Externship program."

His first few blogs are posted and explore the challenge of pairing mentors and protégés as well as preparing for meeting a mentor for the first time. Contributors will include assistant dean for external relations Lisa Brabbit, student Adam Huett and others.

Vince Thomas, assistant dean for student and multicultural affairs, will be lead contributor for the Charity and Justice Blog. He said the blog "will be a place where we highlight the ways that UST Law lives out its mission to search for truth through a focus on social justice." Contributors will include UST professors Teresa Collett, Nekima Levy-Pounds and Mitch Gordon, and students Trusha Patel and Christy Botts.
