Service-learning courses to be designated in online class registration schedules
Students who are interested in taking a course that uses service-learning can now identify those courses before they register.
Thanks to the Registrar’s office, beginning with registration for J-Term and spring 2008, courses that use service-learning will be designated in the online class schedules.
Students can locate courses that use service-learning in two ways:
- On the WebCampus Class Finder listing of courses, the course sections will be marked with a “c.” For instance, if you see THEO 200, sec. C06, or ENGL 112, sec. C33, the “c” will indicate that those sections will have service-learning components.
- Note: The "c" sections are grouped separately after all other sections of the course.
- On the “Class Schedule Search” on Murphy Online, you can search for courses with service-learning. Use the pull-down menu for "Attribute Type" and choose “Service-Learning,” and a list of all the designated courses will pop up.
- Note: If you don't search under "Attribute Type" but just search for courses by department, the "c" sections will be grouped separately after the other sections of the course.
