STAR announces free events today and tomorrow

STAR is sponsoring the following events.

All free: fanamaniac buses to men's hockey game today and women's hockey game tomorrow, tickets, food and a fleece UST blanket

STAR's fanamaniac hosts free buses to the men's hockey game at 6:30 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 8, and the women's hockey game at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 9. Students riding the bus will receive a free ticket to the game, a free food and drink item and a fleece UST blanket.

The bus will load at the arches and take students to the St. Thomas Hockey Arena. The bus then will shuttle continuously between the arches and the hockey arena every half-hour. The last bus will leave the hockey arena after the game is over. Contact STAR with any additional questions.

Men's and women's basketball fanamaniac double header with free T-shirt

Tommie T-shirts – while they last – will be given away to students attending Saturday's basketball games.

The men's and women's basketball teams will host Gustavus in a double header beginning at 1 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 9. Tommie T-shirts will be given away to students attending the game. Get there early as supplies are limited.

Students also will have the opportunity to register for a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to the St. Thomas Bookstore. Students can pick up their shirts and register for the drawing in the lobby outside Schoenecker Arena. Contact STAR with any additional questions.

Chinese culture trip

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Chinese New Year! STAR is hosting a trip to Northwestern Health Sciences University to learn about Chinese culture by celebrating the year of the rat. Music, clothing, food and Chinese games make this event fun for everyone.

The bus will leave the arches at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 9, and return at 3:30 p.m. Sign up in the Box Office and Expeditions, lower level, Murray-Herrick Campus Center, today.
