STAR announces two competitions
Solo Artist Spotlight Competition, Dec. 1
Come and catch some of the musical talent UST has to offer as STAR presents the Solo Artist Spotlight Competition at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Scooter's. Eight student musicians will perform in front of a student audience and panel of judges. At least one original song will be performed, plus an additional four. Prizes will be presented to the top three performers. If you are interested in performing, e-mail STAR.
Students vs. Professors Basketball Tournament changed to benefit for Minnesota Food Shelf on Dec. 8
The Students vs. Professors Basketball Tournament, originally scheduled for Dec. 6, has been changed to a Basketball Benefit for the Minnesota Food Shelf at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in Schoenecker Arena.
A team of students and staff will go up against each other. Tickets will be sold at the door; payment will be taken in the form of nonperishable goods. One raffle ticket per donated food item will be given to spectators; the more food you donate the the greater your chances of winning a prize.
The event is open to the public and will include a halftime show.
