STAR needs faculty, staff help on Oct. 14, 15 at concert and Homecoming Dance

St. Thomas Activities and Recreation (STAR) announces several events to be held next week.  To ensure success, your help is needed for two of the events: a Friday night concert, and the traditional Homecoming Dance on Saturday.

As with all STAR concerts and dances, staff and faculty support is needed.

Here is more information about the two events:

  • Emerson Drive, American Country Music’s “Top New Vocal Group,” will perform a free outdoor concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, on Foley Plaza.
  • The Homecoming Dance will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in Coughlan Field House. In order to make this dance a reality for students, STAR will need at least 20 staff and faculty present to help out as hosts: checking student IDs, assisting with crowd management, mingling with students and having fun.

Your help will be appreciated on both evenings; however, if you only can attend one event, your help is needed especially on Saturday night.

If you can help at either of these events or have questions, contact Aaron Macke or Amy Graff via e-mail.
