The Student Legacy Speaker Series, a yearlong series that features philanthropists and development professionals, returns today for conversation and pizza. Megan Zweber ’08 and Jen Triemstra, Minnesota Valkyries Rugby Team, will discuss their work in the nonprofit world.
At Market America, Zweber uses the company’s internet marketing tools to support a variety of clients with their nonprofit fundraising and website design needs. Triemstra, a longtime competitive rugby player and founding president of the Valkyries, has combined her personal passion for rugby with a professional nonprofit career supporting the sport. Both women will discuss their roles within their organizations and why they enjoy working with nonprofit organizations.
All students who are interested in the nonprofit sector, philanthropy, volunteering and the Student Legacy Program are encouraged to attend. The talk will begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, in Room 154, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
This speaker series is sponsored by the Student Legacy Program at St. Thomas, a student club that is devoted to learning about and promoting philanthropy at the university. For more information and to get involved in the program, visit the Student Legacy website or e-mail Kristen Lucius.
