Men's lacrosse team
The #18 St. Thomas men’s lacrosse team traveled to Marquette, Mich., last weekend to face Ferris State and Calvin College, the fifth-ranked team in the nation. St. Thomas came out strong Saturday morning against Ferris State with a tough team defense and possessive offense. UST pulled away in the second half to win 9-3. Calvin College proved to be a tougher match as the St. Thomas offense was slowed down but not stopped. The final score was UST 6, Calvin College 4. By the end of the weekend UST was off to a fast start against two solid division opponents. UST’s next game is against Dordt College at 6 p.m. Saturdday, March 4, in the Shattuck-St. Mary’s dome in Faribault, Minn.
