Society of Professional Journalists: The SPJ March meeting will be held from noon to 1 p.m. today, Thursday, March 27, in Room 310, O'Shaughnessy Educational Center. Dr. Tom Rochon, UST's executive vice president and chief academic officer, will speak about student journalism and how issues can be covered on campus by student media. This is your chance as a journalist to talk with a high level administrator about issues that affect all students. Feel free to bring guests who are interested in attending. A free lunch will be provided.

Students in Free Enterprise: The University of St. Thomas SIFE team took part in its first competition (in its first year of existence at UST) yesterday, March 26, at the SIFE USA Regional Competition in Minneapolis. The event was one of 16 SIFE regional competitions being held across the United Sates in March and April. SIFE is an international nonprofit organization active on more than 1,400 university campuses in 48 countries. SIFE teams create economic opportunities in their communities by organizing outreach projects that teach market economics, entreprenuership, personal financial success skills and business ethics. Projects are brought to competition and judged by business leaders on creativity, innovation and effectiveness. If you are interested in the club or want more information, e-mail Kirsten Grothe.
