Apply for UMAIE summer study in Russia
Interested in applying for a summer study abroad program? Check out the UMAIE program in Russia. St. Thomas undergraduate students are invited to apply for the following UMAIE May-June 2007 program by Feb. 15.
"From White Nights to the Red Square: The Artistic and Cultural Legacy of Russia" – Russia is a country with a long, deep and passionate commitment to the arts. Most Russians take great pride in their country's artistic heritage and seem eager to share that heritage with others. This UMAIE course is designed to help students understand and appreciate the artistic and cultural life of Russia and how this life has impacted our western traditions. These goals will be accomplished through course readings, lectures, site visits to key centers of artistic achievement and attendance at various performances in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
The program runs from May 28 to June 18, 2007. For more information, visit the Study Abroad Web page for this course.
