Susan Anderson named director of academic counseling
Susan Anderson is the new director of academic counseling at St. Thomas; she began her duties Sept. 26. A graduate of the University of Minnesota-Morris, she received a master of arts degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and most recently worked at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. There she worked in the College of Liberal Arts Advising Office and in the School of Nursing and the Health Careers Center.
Anderson also was director of student activities and new-student orientation coordinator at Adrian College in Michigan. Prior to that post she worked at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids, where she was coordinator of the Career Center, an admissions counselor and new-student orientation coordinator.
The Academic Counseling office at St. Thomas assists students with degree evaluation checks, core curriculum and major field requirements, major and minor field choices, student/professor conflicts, locating campus resources, and other matters to assist students with academic work.
