Some theology courses have been renumbered in preparation for implementing the new “bridge course” program, in which the third course in the Faith and the Catholic Tradition core requirement will be a course that establishes a “bridge” between theology and other academic disciplines or between theology and issues of contemporary concern.
Current students will select three courses in Faith and the Catholic Tradition as follows:
- Theology 101
- One theology course at the 200 or 300 level. (The only prerequisite for 300-level theology courses from now on is Theo 101.)
- One additional theology course at the 300 level or one theology course at the 400 level. (The prerequisite for 400-level theology courses is Theo 101 and one course at the 200 or 300 level.)
For students who begin at St. Thomas during or after the fall 2010 semester, the requirement will be fulfilled as follows:
- Theology 101
- One theology course at the 200 or 300 level.
- One theology course at the 400 level.
