Three October events scheduled to learn about graduate and advanced degrees

Students interested in learning more about graduate and professional school will be offered three events in October to assist in their decision-making and preparation.

Here is the schedule of events:

  1. Graduate and Professional School Fair, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the University of Minnesota Coffman Union. This fair is open to students from all metro area colleges and is free of charge. No advance registration is required. For details and a map, see Career Development's Graduate and Professional School Fair Web page.
  1. "How to Prepare for the GRE" seminar, 1:30-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, in Room 355, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Offered through the Career Development Center, this seminar will be presented by Dr. Tom Rochon, executive vice president and chief academic officer at UST, who has extensive experience in preparing candidates for the GRE. He will provide tips and know-how to help students successfully prepare for the exam. Any student considering taking the GRE within the next six months will want to attend this informative session. The GRE will change significantly in fall 2007. A GRE prep session will be offered in the spring to prepare students for the revised GRE. Register to attend the Oct. 17 seminar on Career Development's Web page for this event.
  1. "Seminar for Graduate- and Advanced-Degree Seekers," 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in Room 355, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
