Three UST students nominated for Emmy Awards

Three UST broadcast majors have been nominated for Emmys in the competition conducted by the Upper Midwest Board of Governors of the National Television Academy. Senior Cassandra Clark was nominated for a collection of her work. Senior Meghan Sparks was nominated for her story, "Branden's Fight." May graduate Lyndsay Capeder was nominated for a collection of her work.

All three students produced their Emmy-nominated work as students in Journalism 260 and 460. UST students represent three of the seven finalists in the College News category of the Emmy competition. After work is entered, it is screened by a judging panel that selects the Emmy nominees. The awards ceremony will be held Saturday, Oct. 21. This is the largest number of Emmy nominations in a single year for UST students.
