'Troubling Waters' discussions on popular culture, film to be held tomorrow

"Troubling Waters: Discussions on Meanings and Messages in Popular Culture and Film," a series of interdisciplinary discussions on power, race, gender and culture, will continue at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, in Room 126 (auditorium), John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts.

Student Eileen Ward, Dr. Kanishka Chowdhury and Dr. Todd Lawrence of the UST English Department will show 10-minute film excerpts and invite the audience to consider ways in which the films participate in and comment on elements of American culture.

The discussion, free and open to the public, is sponsored by St. Thomas' American Culture and Difference program.
