USG to Hold Fall Elections

The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) will hold elections for the following open positions:

• Freshman class president
• Freshman class senator (two)
• Freshman residential senator
• Commuter senator
• Transfer senator
• Legislative affairs senator

Election packets are available online or at the Campus Life Office in Room 325, Anderson Student Center. All packets will be due at a mandatory candidates meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, in Room 202, Anderson Student Center.

Elections will be held Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 17-19. Students who are elected to USG, must attend a mandatory USG retreat on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 22-23, at Gainey Conference Center in Owatonna, Minn.

The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) is the student governing body of the university. Composed of 40 representatives, the USG acts as the voice of the student body. USG members work with faculty, staff, administration and other students to promote positive change and foster St. Thomas tradition in an effort to provide students with an exceptional college experience.
