UST honors late St. John's president
Brother Dietrich Reinhart
The University of St. Thomas and St. John's University last week conferred honorary Doctor of Laws degrees upon the late Brother Dietrich Reinhart, O.S.B., who was president of St. John's from 1991 until last fall. Reinhart, 59, died Dec. 29, 2008.
The degrees were conferred at a tribute to Reinhart at the annual St. John's Day celebration on April 17 at the campus in Collegeville. Father Dennis Dease, president of St. Thomas, read the citation (see link right) at the celebration.
