UST Radio Club, St. Paul Radio Club to hold joint meeting Oct. 7

A joint meeting of the University of St. Thomas Radio Club and the St. Paul Radio Club will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, in Room 155, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. These clubs are dedicated to amateur (ham) radio operation.

The program for this meeting will be presented by Jay Bellows, KØQB, ARRL Dakota Division Director: ARRL Update, and Skip Jackson, KSØJ, ARRL Minnesota Section Manager: Minnesota Section Update.

Bellow’s ARRL work is related mainly to policy issues that affect what is done by amateur radio operators. Jackson’s ARRL work involves overseeing emergency communications and club activities in Minnesota. This program is one way to gain information about where ham radio operators fit into the grand scheme of radio communications. Attendees will have an opportunity to join both clubs.
