UST student marketing team places in national event
The UST team of marketing students – Danielle Anderson, Jordan Ermer, Allison King, Angela Sturman and Brent Younkin – placed second in the National Undergraduate Specialized Case of the Year competition sponsored by the Small Business Institute. The team was one of several teams in the capstone marketing course taught by UST's Dr. Jamal Al-Khatib.
The SBI organizes this case competition every year. It receives numerous entries from various schools across the country. The cases are submitted under different categories such as general management, strategy, or specialized areas such as marketing or IT.
The UST student team worked with local firm HealthCare Interactive Inc. (HCI) and created a marketing plan for its nursing care facility. The award was presented at the recent SBI annual meeting in Florida. Dr. Avinash Malshe represented UST and received the award on Jamal's behalf.
