Want to buy a house in the UST neighborhood?
As a result of the University of St. Thomas' agreement with the St. Paul City Council in August 2004, the university is required to purchase, rehabilitate and sell 30 neighborhood student-rental homes to owner-occupants by 2016.
At a time when St. Thomas hopes to increase its on-campus, undergraduate population, the goal of the program is to help stabilize neighborhoods by reducing local student-rental properties and improving housing stock.
One property the university plans to purchase is located at 2077 Selby Ave. Any faculty or staff member who might be interested in purchasing that property, or any of the others as they become available, is encouraged to contact John Hershey, neighborhood liaison, (651) 962-6123.
