Wellness Center Creates Seven Health Advisory Councils

The Wellness Center is creating seven Health Advisory Councils to assist with developing plans to improve student health.

Each council will have representation from students, staff and faculty. The councils are being created to reflect the Wellness Center’s Leading Health Indicators using a nationwide health promotion framework specific to the University of St. Thomas.

The councils will meet three to five times during the course of a year. Members will receive health data, provide expertise, conduct environmental scans and provide guidance in the development of programs.

If interested in joining a Health Advisory Council, e-mail Birdie Cunningham, Wellness Center health educator.
