Mahatma Gandhi said: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
The Wellness Center is supporting Gandhi's statement and World AIDS Day by asking students, faculty, staff and alumni for donations in exchange for AIDS-awareness mittens.
The Wellness Center will have tables set up around campus to collect donations, hand out mittens, and provide information about sexually transmitted infections, prevention methods and awareness. Look for the tables:
- Tuesday, Nov. 23 – 4-5 p.m., Koch Commons
- Monday, Nov.29 – 1-2 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. in Murray-Herrick Campus Center, second-floor atrium
- Tuesday, Nov. 30 – 4-5 p.m. in The Grill
- Wednesday, Dec. 1 – 2-4 p.m. in Murray-Herrick Campus Center, second-floor atrium
During January Term, the St. Thomas Cultural Communications class will hand-deliver the donations to the Drama in AIDS Education Project.
