'When Does Human Life Begin?' topic of April 7 Aquinas Honors Program symposium

The Aquinas Honors Program will host its annual symposium at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the auditorium (Room 126) of John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts.

The symposium is an academic discussion centering on a topic relevant to the lives of students and members of the community. This year, symposium participants will discuss "When Does Human Life Begin?"

Faculty panelists are:

  • Dr. Teresa Collett, UST School of Law
  • Dr. Stephen Heaney, UST College of Arts and Sciences (Philosophy Department)
  • Dr. Adam Kay, UST College of Arts and Sciences (Biology Department)
  • Dr. Paul Wojda, UST College of Arts and Sciences (Theology Department).

The faculty panelists will present their answers to the question and then respond to each other. After the presentation, students will be invited to ask questions of the panelists.

The honors symposium is free and open to all students, faculty, staff and members of the community.
